Orbis Law maintains one of the most distinguished arbitration practices among Pakistani law firms, with partners who hold the Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK and who sit as arbitrators and appear as counsel in complex international and domestic proceedings. The firm represents clients in ad-hoc and institutional arbitrations before the ICSID, LCIA, ICC, DIAC, and the International Dispute Resolution Centre in London. Our partners have represented the Government of Pakistan in multiple international arbitration proceedings and have appeared in investor-state disputes before the world's leading arbitral forums.
Orbis Law played a defining role in establishing South Asia's first specialised engineering and construction arbitration centre, assisting the Pakistan Engineering Council in its development in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK. Our partners have advised PEC's Arbitration Committee in over fifty proceedings involving complex engineering infrastructure disputes. One of our partners currently serves as an elected member of the Executive Committee of the CIArb Pakistan Branch.

Represented a state-owned oil and gas company in a Pakistan-seated ad-hoc arbitration against Singaporean commodities trading company.
Represented a service company against a leading international telecom company.
Advised and represented Government of Pakistan before the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes ("ICSID") in matter of Karkey Karadeniz.
Represented Government of Pakistan's legal position in treaty arbitration with respect to Indus Water Treaty - Kishenganga;
Contributed to Pakistan's legal strategy in the matter of Reko Diq Minning Arbitration, one of the largest international mining investment disputes globally, involving multi-billion dollar BIT claims.
Represented Pakistan’s leading construction company against public sector defence organisation in an institutional arbitration.
Assisted Pakistan Engineering Council’s Arbitration Committee as Advisors in more than fifty arbitration proceedings related to complex large engineering infrastructure disputes.
Assisted Pakistan Engineering Council in establishing South Asia's first specialised engineering and construction arbitration centre; drafted institutional arbitration rules and built organisational capacity.
