Muddasir Latif Abbasi is a professional litigator with decade of experience in intensive trial advocacy and complex litigation. He has been recently granted a fitness certificate for practice before the Supreme Court of Pakistan by the Hon’ble Islamabad High Court (IHC).
Mr. Abbasi previously served as State Counsel for two years at IHC. His litigation portfolio include more than 600 contested matters before trial courts and 200 cases before various High Courts across Pakistan, maintaining an exceptional success rate.
He possesses comprehensive expertise in both civil and criminal jurisprudence. He successfully represented a leading national beverage corporation in a high-stakes land dispute valued in the billions, securing favorable judgments from the trial court and higher forums. He represented various clients in the IHC safegaurding Rs. 22 billion worth of assets in intricate tax matter, alongside numerous other recovery matters.
His practice encompasses the entire spectrum from Magisterial to Sessions trials, and extends to special courts including FIA, ATC, CNSA Courts , and Accountability Courts, where he has consistently secured relief for clients in numerous cases. Presently, he serves as lead counsel for the allottees of the Mall of Islamabad before the Accountability Court, Karachi, in the Anti-Money laundering reference concerning Bahria Town, Pvt Ltd.
Deeply committed to public interest advocacy, Mr. Abbasi remaimed counsel in proceedings before the Islamabad High Court challenging the Capital Development Authority’s unlawful action of cutting 30,000 trees in Islamabad - threatening the capital's ecosystem.
