Barrister Ayesha Siddique Khan is a Partner at Orbis Law and serves concurrently as Chair of International Law at the Islamabad Policy and Research Institute. A qualified barrister from Lincoln's Inn, London, she holds dual academic qualifications in international law and international relations, complemented by an LLM in the International Protection of Human Rights Law and an MSc in International Politics from SOAS University of London, which she completed as a Chevening Scholar.
Ayesha brings over fourteen years of litigation experience across human rights, public law, and corporate commercial matters. Her career spans private practice, public service, and international civil society work. She has served as State Counsel at the Islamabad High Court, appearing on behalf of the Federal Government in criminal and constitutional proceedings. In her earlier career, she gained unapparelled experience in corporate and constitutional litigation as part of leading boutique law firms of Pakistan.
Ayesha has also served as Fellow of Bertha Foundation, a UK-based legal charity, where she advised and represented victims of drones attack and capital punishment.
She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK and has been awarded fellowships by the Governments of Sweden and the United States in recognition of her contributions to human rights and democracy. She is regarded as one of Pakistan's leading voices on the intersection of international law, constitutional rights, and institutional governance, and regularly represents public sector and private clients before the High Courts, tribunals, and specialised courts across Pakistan.
